2024-02-03

The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Ir. H. Joko Widodo (Jokowi), inaugurated two terminals in West Java on Saturday, February 3, 2024. The terminals, Leuwipanjang Terminal and Banjar Terminal, have undergone revitalization. Jokowi expressed his appreciation for the new appearance of these terminals. He noted that the negative impression of intercity and interprovincial bus terminals (AKAP), often perceived as dirty, unkempt, and uncomfortable, is no longer evident at Leuwipanjang Terminal and Banjar Terminal. Leuwipanjang Terminal is one of the two terminals resulting from the modernization project executed by PT NIA. Besides attending the inauguration event as an invited guest, PT NIA also played a role when Budi Karya, the Indonesian Minister of Transportation, visited Leuwipanjang Terminal a day before the inauguration. PT NIA introduced the digital ticketing system they had developed. The system received positive feedback from the Minister of Transportation and is expected to have a positive impact on bus passengers at Leuwipanjang Terminal.
